Kreative KerryThis is Kreative Kerry.
Kerry is a self-taught artist and interior curator who works in color, texture and layers. Her canvas might be fabric, wood, metal, furniture or an actual canvas. If a surface can carry a story, she is willing to work with it.
Adinkra symbols appear throughout her work as a connection to cultural meaning and wisdom. The result is art meant to be worn, displayed, used, talked about and shared.
From gallery walls to wearable art
Kerry sold her first gallery piece at Honfleur Gallery in 2007. Since then, her work has moved through galleries, pop-ups, interiors, fashion, jewelry and creative experiences across the DMV.
